Las Positas College Theatre Arts Presents Richard O’Brien’s Cult Classic The Rocky Horror Show

Las Positas College’s Theatre Arts Department is thrilled to announce its fall production of Richard O’Brien’s legendary rock musical, The Rocky Horror Show. This outrageous, high-energy revival invites audiences to “do the Time Warp again” and celebrate one of the most iconic and unconventional musicals of all time.
 
Performances will run October 23 through November 1, 2025 at the Barbara Mertes Main Stage Theater on the Las Positas College campus (3000 Campus Hill Drive, Building 4000, Livermore, CA). Shows are scheduled Thursday through Saturday at 7:00 PM. Please note: there will be no Sunday performances.
 
Directed by Dyan McBride, this electrifying production blends glam rock, camp, and audience participation in a bold celebration of individuality and self-expression. Audiences will meet the sweethearts Brad and Janet as they stumble upon the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, encountering a zany cast of characters including a mysterious butler, a glittery group of Transylvanians, and the doctor’s latest creation: the muscular and unforgettable “Rocky.”
 
“Rocky Horror is more than just a show, it’s an experience,” says director Dyan McBride. “We’re inviting the audience to let loose, dress up, and be part of a performance that breaks all the rules and celebrates freedom of expression.”
 
With a dynamic student cast and creative team, Las Positas College’s production offers audiences a fresh take on the cult classic just in time for the Halloween season. While rice, toast, and squirt bottles will not be permitted inside the theatre, other interactive elements will be included to keep the spirit of Rocky Horror alive.
 
Important Note: This production contains mature content and is recommended for audiences aged 16+. Expect risqué humor, innuendo, suggestive language, partial nudity (tasteful and theatrical), and a lot of strutting in heels. Think of it as PG-13 with a master’s degree in fabulous.
