Community Input Needed: Creating the DUSD Graduate Profile

DUSD Community,
As part of a recent weekly update, I informed you of our desire to create a graduate profile for DUSD. A graduate profile is a set of skills, competencies, and dispositions that we aim for our students to possess when they graduate from our schools. It goes beyond academic achievement and encompasses qualities such as critical thinking, communication skills, creativity, and a sense of social responsibility.

The graduate profile serves as a guide — from TK-12 — for our educational goals. It helps us ensure that our students are well-prepared for their future endeavors, whether it be further education, entering the workforce, or becoming active members of society.

Involving the community in the creation of the graduate profile is crucial, as it ensures that the profile reflects the values and aspirations of our community. Your input will help us shape the education we provide to our students, making it more relevant and meaningful to their lives and the community as a whole.

I am requesting your input and feedback as we embark on this important endeavor. Your perspectives and insights are invaluable as we work to define the characteristics and skills that we want our graduates to possess.

Please view the following video before clicking on the link below to provide your input.

I am excited about the potential of this collaborative effort, and I am confident that together, we can create a graduate profile that truly reflects the hopes and aspirations of our community.

Sincerely,
